IMPLANTATION

MISSING TOOTH REPLACEMENT WITH IMPLANTATION

As time goes by, there may be various reasons for the reduction in the number of teeth, but regardless of the causes, two things are very important in case of any tooth loss:
- The lost tooth should be replaced as soon as possible
- The best way to replace teeth - if the circumstances are appropriate - is the implantation.

WHY IS IMPLANTATION THE BEST TREATMENT?

The dental implant is more advantageous then the dental bridges made by grinding the teeth, because it is not necessary to include and grind the intact teeth beside the missing tooth in the treatment.

The tooth implant is more advantageous then removable dental prosthesis because youdon't have to bother with removability, it always stays fixed in the mouth.

Another great advantage of the implant is that it is made of titanium, an exceptionally strong and biocompatible material. This is why our body can accept it, and it does not trigger an allergic reaction even with metal allergies.

REPLACING THE LOST TOOTH WITH DENTAL IMPLANTS

Tooth implantation is a painless dental treatment. During implantation, a tooth-root like screw (implant) is placed under the gum into the bone, instead of the lost tooth. We later fix the tooth crown (that is the visible part of the tooth above the gum). Thus, the implant-replaced tooth will look no different from the original tooth when viewed from the outside: but not the original root of the tooth, but the implant will  hold the replacement tooth in the mouth.

WHEN CAN THE IMPLANTATION BE HELPFUL?

With a dental implant, it is not only possible to replace a single tooth, but we are also able to resolve a total toothlessness.

IN CASE OF ONE MISSING TOOTH

To replace a single tooth, it is enough to implant a single tooth implant. The great advantage of dental implantation against dental bridges is that it prevents the grinding of intact teeth near the tooth deficiency.

REPLACEMENT OF MORE THAN ONE TOOTH

It is also possible to replace several adjacent teeth with dental implants. In such cases, at least 2 dental implants should be inserted, as we prepare a dental bridge that replaces the teeth.

IF THERE IS NO TOOTH LEFT

Complete dentures, fixed to the implant - opposed to conventional removable dentures - can be fixed 100%,  so you can avoid compromises that come with removable dentures.

THE IMPLANTATION PROCESS

Implantation is a small operation in oral surgery. During the treatment, the oral surgeon implements the implant in the place of the missing tooth in the bone below the gums.

Although the small gum wounds that occur during implantation are quickly healed, the implant itself needs a few months to completely be wrapped by the bone below the gums, so that it will sit firmly and stable throughout our life in the mouth.

Once the implant is fully embedded, your doctor will prepare the final crown. From then on, you can re-eat and smile the same way before your dental problem appears.

Of course, you do not have to give up eating and smiling at the time of healing, because we are preparing aesthetic temporary prosthesis for you.

IMPLANTATION IN FIVE STEPS

1. TREATMENT PLAN

The dental implantation begins with a personal specialist consultation. Then your dentist will assess your needs and prepare personalized treatment plans based on the 3D CT recording.

2. IMPLANTATION

Implantation is completely painless and the complete treatment (anesthesia - implant insertion - stitching the surgery site) takes around 90 minutes. On request, it is possible to intervene in special anesthesia.

3. HEALING TIME

After  implantation, a 3-6 month healing time is expected to allow the implants to be incorporated into the bone below the gums. Thanks to this stability, the tooth crown on the implant can be used the same as with our real teeth.

4. GUM FORMATION

When the required healing time has elapsed, the implant is already completely wrapped by the bone. At this point, your dentist makes a small incision on the gum over the implant, to release the implant. A small gingival screw is placed on the implant what forms the gum to wrap around the future tooth crown perfectly.

5. DENTAL CROWN

One or two weeks after the implant is released and the gingival screw is placed, the final crown for the implant can be processed. Once the crown is finished, your treatment will be completed and you can use your new denture as your own.
